I have 4 “Locustworld Meshboxes” which are essentially a standard x86 box with a Prism 2.5 card stuck in. I’ve been running the Locustworld MeshAP, but to be honhest it’s totally pathetic - it seems to be long abandoned aside from the ridiculously overpriced commercial version, and there’s no support. So i’m looking at converting the boxes to run MikroTik software, as it looks a lot more professional. So far i’ve flashed one of the boxes with RouterOS, and followed the guide for setting up a WDS mesh on the wiki. However this guide says to use Atheros cards - seeing as i’ve already got Prism cards installed [and another potential 15 of these boxes to convert] is there any way to use Prism Cards for this - such as installing HostAP drivers etc? Been fiddling around and I haven’t managed to get a wireless signal transmitting yet. I also dont have RSTP installed on the box - is there any easy way to add this after installation or should i just reinstall?
