When tried to access the web interface of an RB250GS running SwOS 1.8 and was quite surprised to get several options that, according to the wiki, are only available on the RB260GS. This was espacialy annoing for the settings in the VLANs tab. None of the options from the drop-down list did have any effect, so I couldn’t assign the ports to VLANs.
Only after allowing cookies did it work as expected.
I wouldn’t necessarily call it a bug, but at least bad design if a web server needs the clients browser to tell it, what hardware it is running on. After all, the client can’t know this, if the server doesn’t tell it in some way, so the server needs to get this information anyway. Wouldn’t it be easier, if the server just used this information in the first place instead of sending it to the client and having it sent back as a cookie before using it to determine the GUI to serve to the client?
