Correctly representing networks with VPN links

Hi,

I have two sites, connected via a VPN. If I run The Dude on the server at one site and have it scan the local subnet and the remote subnet, the results arent what would be expected.

The local subnet is mapped correctly, all linked to the main switch with connections going out, but then the devices at the remote site all just appear to be individual, isolated, devices all around the edge of the local subnet.

I was hoping that The Dude could visualize the link between the two sites and have a link between the local site and the remote, with the devices at the remote clustered around the remote site switch.

Can this be done? Do we have to run another copy of the Dude at the remote site and somehow have them join up ?

Olly

It can’t do that automatically, that’s why you need to use the manual network drawing tools. You can group objects, add lines, links, sub networks etc.
