I have a corrupted database and don’t know how to repair it.

Thanks

Hey there,

I have had this happen to me, though not with the same error message. Mine said database corrupt unable to repair. Not timed out like you.

The system was in South Sudan at the time so I had to get it back from there, as none of the tools would repair it. Also I did not have a backup of the database so could not just do a restore.

Luckily for me when I inserted the CD and re-installed it seemed to repair by itself and I didnt even lose the data within… Dunno why but it worked.

Here is my post at the time:

run a check disk on the hard drive running user manager and the problem will be rectified without losing your data.

Dude! where were you when we needed you!

I wish that had occurred to me then, but thanks for the tip. I certainly wont forget it!!!

Thanks again…

it worked just fine

please, can u tell me how to run a check disk on the hard drive running user manager

Yes it is good question  maybe to boot from some live distribution only …
