Crawling speeds on bridged routerboards over wireless links

In my current setup I have a 450g at the core doing hotspot /pppoe on its interfaces facing clients.
I want to add a 750g to the network and have it connected to the 450g via a wireless backhaul on
an interface running ppopoe/hotspot. I managed to bridge the two but when i start passing Internet
traffic the performance is ok for a minute and then it comes to a stand still. I noticed it with large
over 6mbs and youtube videos but other web pages load fine.

I have also tried Eoip and IPIP both give similar results so am thinking it might be a fragmentation
issue, but an not sure. Any ideas why it might be behaving this way?

What do the logs on the 450 and 750 say?

There is nothing in the logs on both routers. This is happening to downloads and when
loading large sites or playing videos online. At the moment the download or video stops
other sites load as usual. What could cause dropping of the connection since connecting
back to the 450g alone everything goes back to normal.
