I have a MAP lite that I’m trying to get to connect to Window’s integrated hotspot. I’ll be using these to provided wired internet to an in car device. I’ve successfully set a few up using an external LTE modem/router. The map lite can see the network I set up in Windows but refuses to connect. I ran Wireshark on the virtual adapter Windows creates and I don’t see any traffic when trying to connect a map lite. Cell phones work fine and show normal traffic.
The laptops we use are new and have Windows 10 with intel chipsets so no hosted network functionality. I’m suspecting there is an issue from Windows now using Wifi Direct for its hotspot. Any other device that I connect works flawlessly and gets an IP from some type of DHCP in Windows but I can’t find any functionality to adjust the settings Windows uses to set up the network other than the SSID and password.
Anyone had a similar use-case and figured out how to set up Router OS to connect to this type of network? If not, any suggestions as to what I might try to get these to connect?
