Cripple Syslog for RB 750Gr3

When you will implement the multifile syslog facility, like for others devices? What is the problem with that for 750GR3 ???

What is the problem with logging? You can go under System/Logging menu and chose which topics you want to log into file. Then you can edit action “disk” and specify how long log file can be and how many files to create.

On rb750gr3 this is not possible.. see the ss..

There is no “+” to create new log with new file like on other versions of dude client..

You did not mentioned previously that you are talking about Dude.
Most likely you see this option in older Dude version. It is not available any more on latest Dude versions - problem is not related to RouterBOARD model.

In the v.6.xx manual there are several log threads/files… How you can explain this?

Why silence?

Dear Mikrotik team, please answer the question…

In the v.6.xx manual there are several log threads/files… How you can explain this?

Also Blacklist for device discovering does not have (…) button, that makes this option useless…

This is feature that was removed from the dude during its reborn. Hopefully it will be returned back soon. I am missing it very much.

The picture from the manual shows the version 6.34RC15 so information you have given is not correct…

Answer was already here:

What answer was given? When the old syslog feature will be back in the dude? Mixing the syslog with internal ros logging is not making it better. It is half step back and half step aside. Definitely bad way.

Nothing doing.. Why than in the picture from your manual on 6.xx version several Log threads/files? How to make the same on my Dude?

Picture shows 6.34, where Dude did have logs in the GUI.
Now the feature was moved away from Dude, to RouterOS Log section. It is not there anymore in RouterOS 6.40.

This Log functionality was removed in RouterOS 6.36 version and we do not have plans to implement it back:

*) The Dude now uses ROS log. Requires dude topic to be added in log rules;

And that is really bad, because the system log read from memory is messed with remote logging, logs are not so easily separable like before by rules in dude and so further. Very bad.

Bad, bad, bad… This is not bad.. this is awful…
