Hi
I have a network consisting of multiple subnets. I would like to communicate from the one subnet to the other (and in particular, from a node in subnet 1 to a node in subnet 2). I have tried using VLAN’s, but with little success. Here’s the problem: Subnet 1 = 192.168.1.0/24. Subnet 2 = 192.168.2.0/24. Subnet 3 = 192.168.3.0/24. Subnet 5 = 172.18.51.32/28. All the networks are connected with subnet 5. I thought of using a VLAN to each of the subnets with static routing on each of the RB’s but I am only able to ping the RB of that particular subnet, and not the nodes within a subnet. Even if the subnets are not masqueraded (as this would make it definitely not possible to ping nodes within the subnet). So, for example, Router 1 serves subnet 1 and Router 2 subnet 2, then I am able to (using VLANS and static routing) ping Router 1 from Router 2 using the subnet ip’s (and not the VLAN ip’s) of the Routers. But I am not ale to ping nodes from Router 1/2 inside Subnet 2/1.
How would I be able to ‘transverse’ subnets?
Thanks
