Had power failure on upgrade. Ethernet does not work period. Serial connection on boot shows:
Press any key within 2 seconds to enter setup
Loading kernel from nand … Ok
setting up elf image … OK
jumping to kernel code
Kernel panic - not syncing: no init found. Try passing init= option to kernel.
The only solution I found was to remove the wireless. What sized hammer should I use???

Ethernet port is dead and there is no Bios. Have tried the S1 button for backup bootloader and still keep getting the same message. Need alternate way to get into bootloader besides the S1 or something else.
The upgrade was from 2.951 straight to 3.50 when the power failure occurred. I believe that the bootloader and perhaps the backup bootloader were corrupted. Still desperately need a fix!!! 
you guys are great at support and i mean that seriously.
the reason i could not get into the bios.. the hyperterminal had defaulted back to hardware control soon as i turned off hardware control i was home free.
tried three different cables only figured out the issue after changing computers.
gawd stupid things i do lol
