Hi all,
I have some CRS317’s aggregating physical links into my core routers. These links come from various peering, IP Transit and NNI (Customer aggregations), mostly other providers. What are the best practices around using switches for aggregation. Currently I have edge ports and vlan filtering setup. I’ve been bitten by broadcast storms and network loops recently. I’m looking at storm control and loop protect but unsure where to go from here. The main thing I want in a broadcast storm is to still be able to login to the switch and not have the CPU’s at 100%!
If anyone has any tips and tricks you have found useful for interfaces facing 3rd party networks I’d love to hear about them!
