CRS106-1C-5S SWOS

Hi,

Is it possible to use SWOS instead of routeros on CRS106-1C-5S?

In winbox when I use port isolation in switch/ports the box becomes unresponsive and doesnt let me login again.

Instead I’ve created a bridge added all ports and use filter rules to isolate the ports, this unfortunately isnt the best way as under load its hitting 60 -70% cpu.

Im sure swos would have much less overhead.

BUMP!

Whats the best way to use this purely as a switch to save cpu overhead?

I would like to only isolate the 5 sfp ports and keep the combo port open.

Any help would be appreciated.

fxwireless

I would like to know too, sorry for the “Thread Arcology”.

What are you trying to accomplish functionally, @fxwireless?

I would like to do the same. I do not need all of the RouterOS functionality, just a couple of vlans. The goal is to turn it into a simple sfp switch.

Product page in Specifications under Operating System doesn’t list SwOS … for devices actually offering dual boot this item lists both OSes.

So no, it’s not possible to run SwOS on CRS106-1C-5S.
