CRS109-8G-1S-2HnD-IN Not Booting after RouterOS Upgrade

Hello, everyone at MikroTik forums.

I recently received a MikroTik Cloud Router Switch CRS109-8G-1S-2HnD-IN to replace my RB751U-2HnD. I started configuring it but decided I should upgrade the firmware (I was having issues with email alerts and the first suggestion I found was to upgrade firmware + routerOS), so I upgraded the firmware through Winbox, but then decided I should also upgrade RouterOS. Without rebooting, I started the process to upgrade RouterOS, which required a reboot. It went well until the actual reboot process.

After my router shut itself off and turned back on, it only displayed “MikroTik” on the LCD screen and nothing else happened. It is not an LCD issue since nothing else is working either. The only thing it does is show ‘MikroTik’ on the screen. The PWR and USR LEDs are on as well as the ACT/LINK LED for the SFP port. None of the other LEDs are lighting up or blinking even though I have two gigabit RJ45 ports connected to a switch and a router respectively. Cycling power just brings it to the same state and holding down the reset button does not elicit any response or change from the router.

Is my router an expensive paperweight now or is there something I can do to save it?

Hi,
Try and restore RouterOS with netinstall, download it and the RouterOS packages from http://www.mikrotik.com/download
