CRS125-24G-1S-RM successor

Hi Mikrotik !
The CRS125-24G-1S-RM seems to be unavailable from most reselers and at least one of them told me this product was in end of life.
The CRS326-24G-2S+RM seems to be a good replacement on the paper.
I purchased some of them and the switch vlan management (inside routerOS) seems very different than the one from the CRS125 and somehow buggy.
In particular, it’s really unclear wich rules are egress or ingress, what is passed to the cpu or not. etc..
I updated to 6.41.rc52 and the new bridging system seems quite better but not sufficiently documented and still not stable enough for production.

I have to use software bridges to get it work well on a really simple setup.

other problems :

  • no beeper/buzzer
  • lack of lcd display

Will there be other revisions of this product ?

Same question

Hello,
CRS1xx and CRS2xx are slowly being replaced with CRS3xx, there will be some models that will exist, but 24 port model is being replaced.
We just wrote a new manual for CRS series devices that shows how to configure the same setup with both versions. You can find the manual here:
https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:CRS_Router#Port_based_VLANs
This manual should give you some understanding what is sent to the CPU and what is not.
We have created a new bridge implementation that should make it easier to configure VLANs on CRS devices, this new implementation is available in 6.41rc
Currently we have no plans on releasing a new version with a buzzer and/or LCD.
