CRS125-24G-1S-RM

I am having trouble scraping together some compatible SFPs for our new CRS125-24G-1S-RM switches.

We have a few CCRs in service and I have been using cisco SFPs in them with out any trouble. The very same SFPs do not work int the CRSs.

It’s not a huge deal, as Ive already ordered the mikrotik equivalent, I was just a bit surprised that what worked in the CCR does not in the CRS.

I’ve tried the following SFPs:

Cisco - GLC-SX-MM
Cisco Compatable - PD1001-G0171
Finisar - FTLF8519P2BNL
Brocade - E1MG-SX-OM
Formerica - TSD-S2CH1-C11

All are 850nm Dual LC MM SFPs.
All are recognized and link, however, when you look at the status “unknown” is reported for the speed. This is true whether auto negotiation is enabled or disabled. Also this is independent of the device on the other end. Speed tests across the link are around the 10mbps mark. I even tried linking one CRS to another CRS.

The first SFP listed(Cisco - GLC-SX-MM) is singing along fine in my CCRs.

Is this due to the different arch? Or perhaps because the different software version? The CCRs are running 6.0 (yes, still) and the CRSs are running 6.7.

CRS running 6.6 and 6.7 have a bug where in all the interfaces run at the slowest negotiated link on the switch, so if a 10mb/s computer or printer is attached the entire switch runs at the slowest speed. Downgrade your routeros version back to 6.5 and retest.

Hope that helps

Can you upgrade to this version, and do a system reset? This should fix the issue:

does your problems solved ?
