CRS210-8G-2S+IN Discontinued?

I don’t see the CRS210-8G-2S+IN unit listed under Hardware now that the site redirects from RouterBoard.com to the Hardware section of Mikrotik.com.

Does this mean the CRS210-8G-2S+IN unit is discontinued?

I use a lot of those, so it would be bad for me.

Yes, CRS210-8G-2S+ is EoL product, you can find it under “Product filters > Archived”. Check out announced MikroTik products , most likely some of them will meet your requirements.

Damnit!!! This completely screws me… none of the replacements have the form-factor and 2 10G SFP+ ports needed for being the perfect CPE switch. I guess sales weren’t what was expected, but I think the product was a head of its time. Gigabit is in full swing, and people need a transition device that isn’t too big.

What confuses me is the CRS 112-8P-4S… same form factor, with PoE and 2 additional SFP cages… but no 10GbE capability… seems like the 210-8G-2S is almost there… add PoE and 2 additional SFP cages… Just make 2 of the ports 1/10G, while the other 2 remain 1G. THAT would be the ulitmate “God CPE” for 2018.

Rest in peace.

How long is support on this device for existing deployments? I’d be willing to buy up some of your inventory. Please PM me.

Agreed. I need that form factor device with at least ONE SFP+ port in it and 8 ports GigE.

Not sure what I’m going to use going forward for MDU units on my fiber system now.

Can we please have a similar product? Or modify one in that form factor to have a SFP+ port again??

Can’t use the 24 port, it’s overkill and our NID boxes won’t hold it, etc.

You ever find a replacement box? I’m 90% going with a Juniper EX2300-12c

I don’t know, that looks good, but I would probably just stick with Mikrotik and use a CCR1009-7G-1C-1S+PC.

What about CRS326-24G-2S+RM rack mount unit? Yes it’s bigger but it has more to offer with 24 Gigabit ports and 2 SFP+ ports.
Upgraded, more powerful hardware for lower price.

I might just have to convert to using the RM version, but the problem is that I mounted the old CRS in a NID/Outside plastic enclosure.
So compact size was a requirement because the NID box isn’t large enough to fit the RM version.

I guess I could shop around, but that form factor NID box is really unusual and/or needs to be larger square box and is ugly to boot.

There are some dealers that have more of them in stock
