CRS212-1G-10S-1S+IN Adding a 3-Wire Fan

My CRS212 creates chronic overheating, and I have lost two SFP modems <<

I have been told (by Mikrotik Support) I can add an internal fan, powered from the JTAG pads – I see JTAG pins 7 and 8, GND and 3v3 respectively.

My fan has the common third (F-Type) wire.

I have, but two questions:

1) Where do I attach the fan’s third wire?
2) If the fan suffers a fault e.g. a short; would the fan’s direct connection to the JTAG GND, likely cause any damage?

Any help/ideas very much appreciated.

The third wire is usually just a speed sensor and can be left disconnected
