CRS212 hw-offload on vlan-aware bridge

Hi All,

We’re trying to use CRS212 with post-6.41 bridge vlan-filtering style configuration and we can’t get hw-offload flag to appear on bridge ports.

From https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Interface/Bridge#Bridge_Hardware_Offloading we see that vlan-filtering is not supported in CRS212. Is there really no hw-offload support for VLANs on CRS212 in new RouterOSes?

This is strange since old style config with “switch egress-vlan-tag / ingress-vlan-translation” performs switching on chip level.

Only CRS3XX devices can get hw-offloading when VLANs are configured in the bridge menu.
On all other devices (CRS1XX/CRS2XX as well) you still have to configure VLANs in switch menu, for traffic to be processed by switch chip, and not by CPU.
