Seriously: you wrote … CRS is a switch and RB750Gr3 is a router. Don’t let be mislead by the fact that CRS can run ROS. Test results on the product pages show that RB750Gr3 is slightly better at routing … plus it supports HW-accelerated encryption (for IPsec)
So the best way would be to replace my current hEX RB750GR3, although it is doing a fantastic job up to wire speed,
with the RB4011iGS+RM router and connect it to the switch running SwitchOS for best performance?
Well I can keep than the two RB750GR3 routers as spare and for testing new configurations…
Hmm..can I just copy over the RB750GR3 configuration to the RB4011iGS+RM?
In this case the best would be to keep using RB750Gr3 as router and use CRS309 as switch (personally I’d run ROS on it, in theory OS selection doesn’t change functionality nor performance of these units). I’d wait with investment into new router until needs arise.
