Hello,
I use a CRS310 as a router. I know it’s not the right material, but I’m wondering:
In switch mode only (Via SFP+ between my box and my PC via the CRS310), I have a connection speed of 2500Mbps downlink and 600Mbps uplink with my ISP.
With the CRS310 in router mode, I had a download speed of 700Mbps and an upload speed of 500Mbps (with fasttrack). During the speedtest, my CPU was at 95%.
I wanted to test version 7.5 and I was surprised: my download speed is 1000Mbps, and upload 580Mbps but above all, the CPU load does not exceed 80%.
So I’m wondering now what’s holding this switch back from going higher? How can I optimize? Knowing that I just received it and that my configuration is very basic:
- DHCP Client on sfp-sfpplus1 (WAN interface)
- DHCP Server on the rest of the ports (LAN bridge)
- Minimum firewall (drop on input sfp-sfpplus1, except related, established) and fasttrack obviously
- NAT: just masquerade
No bonding, no Vlan…
Thanks for your help.
