Hi Forum,
Not sure if anyones seen this issue.
I have a CRS317-1G-16S+ in production currently running 6.43.4.
I have all running switchports in the bridge, with SFP+1 and SFP+2 in a Bonding interface, which is also in the bridge, and indicated hardware in the bridge port list for hardware offload.
This is trunked to a CCR1036-8G-2S+ on its 2 SFP ports which are also bonded.
The problem I am having is that after doing a software upgrade on the CCR1036 (so not the switch), after the CCR booted and started passing traffic again, the CRS has started forwarding packets to the CPU causing 100% CPU and packet loss. I’m not sure why. The switch config literally did not change in this period, and the only thing that happened (in the switches view) is a down/up event of the bonding interface (plus the 2 physical interfaces).
Is this a known issue? Is there something I can do to fix this without remote reboot? Any guarantee’s a reboot will work? I dont understand why it’d just start doing this all of a sudden when everything is listed as hardware offload.
Thanks,
Joe
