The CRS317-1G-16S+ was installed in 2019 with factory firmware version 6.41 (star topology) and had issues with SFP port flapping between CRS devices. The solution at that time was to switch to SwOS (at least on the central CRS unit), and all flapping issues were resolved. However, now on that CRS with SwOS 2.9, we are experiencing an issue when trying to log in to the web management interface, resulting in an ‘error wrong password.’ The sticker on the bottom of the device does not contain any default password, blank password is also not accepted.
Questions:
-
Are there any known password issues with version 2.9? Is there a solution to log in to the web interface without losing the configuration? Booting to RouterOS and reseting SwOS password from there?
-
Does the port flapping issue still persist with this model in RouterOS? What is the recommended stable version of RouterOS to use with it?
