Hi!
I have upgraded from 7.10 to 7.10.1 routeros AND firmware on CRS305, CRS317 e CRS326-24G.
On CRS305 and CRS326 all seems OK, neither errors log or “strange behavior”.
On CRS317 update gone smooth as the other two, but fail led and user led stop double blinking at reboot after the firmware update.
I tried to reboot several times and also power cycled but no blinking again.
Double beep ma no double led blink.
Searching for strange led configuration I found /system/leds/print was empty (!!)
So I used the “reset configuration” button and loaded the default config: the leds restart double blinking at reboot.
Then I loaded the very few custom specific configs (router name, router ip, dns, ntp client, three firewall rules to refuse connection from addresses not in 192.168.2.x, time-zone, disabled ftp-www-telnet), rebooted once and the CRS317 made a double squeaks not beeps (!!!).
Rebooted and again no leds !!!
Is there a issue with CRS317 leds?
Is the behavior related to specific routeros or firmware?
AFAIR leds always worked but occasionally at reboot the buzzer squeaks instead of beeps
Thank you in advance
Best Regards from Rome
Andrea
Correction:
also the CRS305 and CRS326-24G have odd behavior with “user led” at boot, sometimes double blink, sometimes single blink sometimes no blink at all.
I upgraded CRS317, CRS305 and CRS326-24G to ROS 7.10.2 (also firmware) and the odd “user led” behavior persists.
So I am sure enough to address the problem is with firmware or/and routeros and not HW.
Has anyone else noticed this behavior?
