CRS328-24G-2S+ dhcp issues ether 1

Ether 1 is setup to be my dhcp client for my internet service provider but keeps loosing it’s ip address many times a day and I dont know what to do i have fought with comcast over and over about this issues.

Would be very helpful if you add your configuration:

/export hide-sensitive file=anynameyoulike

..l

You have posted your private data…

@erlinden

When ask something like that, remember to the user to remove sensitive data inside the posted config...

Will do, though some info will be removed by adding the hide-sensitive flag (depending on the RouterOS version).

But isn't that what hide-sensitive does ?

Partially, MAC addresses will still remain (as well as any public IP address if configured). And probably some more…

Indeed…
I have not noticed that…

@erlinden

except some extremely rare exceptions, MAC address is NEVER a sensitive data...

What are present on that particular user export are: email, serial number, cloud IP, and some passwords...

My PC have F8:1A:67:00:1F:55 as MAC, and my RouterBOARD have CC:2D:E0:31:13:8E
and now? What "sensitive" data you can obtain?
Is just one example, is not for teaching, but for try to explain the useless fear against MAC address (except some rare cases, but often require physical access to LAN...)

Your MAC address could be (ab)used for MAC spoofing.

... like serial number, which serves as hostname part of FQDN used in mikrotik's own DDNS. Which can represent much larger attack surface than WAN interface's MAC address.
