CRS328-24P-4S+ Tx Drop

Hello,

We have CRS328-24P-4S+ running Mikrotik version 7.10.2 we are getting Tx Drop anyone facing same issue?

  • what version were you running before?
  • had the same problem with previous OS?
  • what is the percentage drops in regards to the traffic?
  • is it on an interface (and have you checked wire?
  • what does your config look like?

P.S.: Now We are downgraded the switch to v6.49.8 long term again, Ethernet 1 the main link we have very simple configuration on the switch it’s just an access switch. We are getting more TX Drop when using queue=only-hardware-queue

I seem to be seeing this same thing but on a CRS326-24G.
Similar bridge setup and tx drops. Happening on 2 switches on the SFP+ interfaces. I do see some on copper interfaces as well, but not nearly as many as the SFP+ interfaces. 65 tx drops in under 30 min of runtime. No rx drops though, rx is running clean. Just seems to be tx.

Tested v7.15.2 still have TX drops.

What is connected to the ports you are seeing drops in?

Out of curiosity I checked a CRS326-24G-2S+ that’s in use as a server switch here and sure enough I am seeing TX drops however only on 4 interfaces. The devices connected to these 4 interfaces are all Proxmox servers.

All 4 ports are vlan trunks. As these are the only ports on the switch with TX drops I’m inclined to think it’s a client issue rather than a switch issue and that Proxmox might be the issue.

I also have a CRS328-24P-4S+ and no ports are showing TX drops.

The CRS326 is running 7.15.2
The CRS328 is running 7.15.1
