Hi,
I have a new CRS418-8P-8G-2S+5axQ2axQ-RM with the default configuration.
If I disable the 5 GHz WiFi to force clients to connect only to the 2.4 GHz network, it doesn’t work – the 2.4 GHz radio keeps restarting continuously.
Could this be a bug, or am I missing something in the configuration?
Thanks!
It depends ... this is a rather new device so most likely not a lot have experience with it.
Does log show anything about this restarting / looping/ ... ?
It would help if you show the actual config.
Terminal
/export file=anynameyouwish
Move to PC, edit file and remove serial, obfuscate public IP, passwds, public key, ...
Post file back here between < / > quotes.
Can you also (just to be sure) show what packages are installed ?
thx for reply here is the full export:

Not really default config, I see you added some things on dst nat and port forward. Why ? For what purpose ?
What if you really use default config ?
To be sure...
As you can see, the current setup does not use the default configuration. Although I will not be using the default settings in production, I tested with them to ensure the issue was not caused by my custom configuration, I just replicated the issues also with default config.
I that case the only thing you can do now is create supout.rif and shoot in a support ticket with your problem description.
At first sight I don't see anything odd on wifi part.
After updating to RouterOS version 7.20.5, the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi has started working again.
Thx, Mikrotik.
