Port 8 is connected as trunk to a WIFI-AP with separate SSIDs for each VLAN
VLAN 1, 10, 51 are assigned to port 1 and 8
VLAN mode on both ports is “enabled”, VLAN receive: “any”, default VLAN is 1
Problem is that all WIFI devices in VLAN 51 don’t have internet access while I do not have any problems with WIFI devices in VLAN 10 altough both VLANs are configured absolutely the same. I reconnected my old switch and VLAN 51-devices were working again - so the access point shouldn’t cause the problem.
Seriously: CSS doesn’t treat any VID differently than others (possibly the exception is VID=1 which should be always used only for untagged pprts to avoid probable misbehaviours) … so I’ve no idea what might be a problem based on your description.
I just put the CSS in my old sock and it is just perfectly working right now (if you rermember the alien episode of Al Bundy…)
But seriously it was my mistake because I just set the VLAN hooks at the far right column of ports which is not port 8 but SFP+2… So - great introduction here from my side
Do not use VLAN 1 for anything - unless there is a specific requirement to do so for some attached device. Too many devices that treat VLAN 1 “special” - and most will not tell you that.
