Custom Probe Port

Hello,

i am trying to add a new service on a device using a non-standard Probe Port.

So i double click for example dns service.. then on General Tab and under Enable checkbox there is an option “Probe Port”.

I check this and select another custom port…

then try to Reprobe using the new settings.. i run a sniffer on the target machine (wireshark) and i can see that the destination port still remains the same (Default SNMP port). So it seems that this setting is not working.

Any ideas?

Just build a new probe from scratch…

i can see that if i select Type: DNS it has the option to select port number.

BUT if i choose Type: Function it has no option for port.

Is it possible to set a custom port for a Function?

I don’t think so, could you describe what you want to do maybe there is another way…
