custom serial cable

hello everyone

i want to make a serial cable which is female on both side.
and i found this http://www.mikrotik.com/testdocs/ros/3.0/admin/serial_content.php but yet i’m not able to figure out the combination of serial cable can any one please make me clear about this

Router Side (DB9f) Signal Direction Side (DB9f)
1, 6 CD, DSR IN 4
2 RxD IN 3
3 TxD OUT 2
4 DTR OUT 1, 6
5 GND - 5
7 RTS OUT 8
8 CTS IN 7

so does this table mean connect 1st and 6th pin to 4th pin and connect 2nd pin to 3rd pin and so on
please guys help me..
i can’t find the ready made DB9 connecter with female on both side.

or made from old mouse connector. All connectors have pin-out numbering.Connect according this pin-out diagram and cable is ready. Basically you can use only RX, TX and GND signals.

Hint: Cisco rollover cable with DB9 adapters on both ends.

For the RB2011UAS-2HnD-IN, the serial console connector is RJ45, so a RJ45 ↔ DB9 cable is required, with Cisco serial cable pinout as decribed here:
