we’re planning to provide certain monitoring and network controlling for
our clients, lets say we want to have custom rules for each user such as
login time (from what time to what time), porn blocking (blocking certain sites
using web-proxy), p2p transfer, play online game, online chatting to be
applied to each users, means they can define if their account wants
to have it enabled or disabled, so our server (MT) must authenticate with
radius server whether the user thats permission for specified rules.
so each time the user will login there will be que and firewall rules made
specially for that user on that given IP.
I’m sure this is a very unique plan which at this time I dont know any ISP
or WISP providing such facilities for home or business users. so it is a
great advantage for anyone to provide this service.
any comment for how to do this or if there is already a system (open
source is preffered) designed for such purpose.
