Cut off the "wireles part" of a Groove?

Hello

I would like to know if it’s possible to cut off the “wireles part” of a Groove 2Hn. Yes, literally cut/saw off the PCB, so that a working “wired” MikroTik device remains, but without the bulky WiFi part? :unamused:

I want to find the smallest possible MikroTik device for embedding. For example to use it for VPN/remote assistance in a networked device that does not have this capability on its own.

Here are some shots of the PCB (not taken by me):

I would guess that the right side handles the wireless part, but I’m not sure if I just want to find out by using a saw…

Weirde quistion.

I don’t think so

You can use EOL - rb Crossroads. It is very smal http://www.routerboard.sk/files/pdf/crossroads_brochure.pdf

or future product mAP

Hm, the Crossroads seem to be more expensive than an RB411U (or L). And it’s not really small.

But the mAP looks super!! I will definitively buy some of them! And finally real PoE… great! Can’t wait to see that product in the stores…
Unfortunately, I’ll have to realize the current project in the next few days already.

See this toppic. It is very small PCB inside.
POE in, POE out + USB + wifi
