HI we area a small community wisp and have Ubiquiti radios and a Mikrotik RB1100 managing our network, all our clients get a static IP address on the Ubiquiti radio and we would like to implement a daily quota on our system as we have the few that go customers that go completely over the top.
To use radius servers and mikrotik’s own user manager we would have to change all our clients to either PPPOE or hotspot which would lead to a weak link in the system of the server were to go down, also they offer way more than what we require.
I have been dabbling with firewall filter rules in place to log traffic and a simple file that could be read from the script then add the IP to a simple queue if over quota but I had a few issues and then appending the files was not user friendly to add other people onto the network
What we really would like something to log in via API and read the usage stats, then if over quota add a simple queue to the router, a user interface would be nice. Is there any simple thing like that available ?
