I have a mikrotik rb493 v3.20 with level 5 software installed. I also have local authentication turned on. All users use the same User profile. I am trying to set data rate limits per user. I have tried setting it up in the user profile, but it does not seem to take any of the changes.
settings in profile should enable automatic creation of simple rules on user connect. are they created?
No I do not see any simple rules being created. I assume this should be in the firewall NAT area??

Simple queues is empty. When I have tried to put anything it there it tried to limit the entire interface to that speed and not just one user. Maybe better example. I have a 5 meg line and I want to insure everyone gets a peice of the pie so to speak. So I would like to limit each person to 500kbps and not the entire interface.
