Hello
so we got this router about 2 monts ago, so its not old, i configured it with 3 different network addresses yeach put on bridges and then bridges on ports,
this worked fine for about last 2 months,

but yesterday interrnet dropped so i decided to reset router to to the default configuration and just put in the static ip, mask and gateway assigned form ISP through quickset in Winbox, and DNS 8.8.8.8

But in Winbox console can’t resolve google.com - returns “failure: dns server failure”

ping returns this “invalid value for argument address:
invalid value of mac-address, mac address required
invalid value for argument ipv6-address
while resolving ip-address: could not get answer from dns server”


im not sure if maybe cable is not okay, or ISP switched to dynamic adressing without telling us, or modem under the roof stopped working so am i doing somethig wrong or i should give call to ISP

Did you do your reset using this method?

How to hard re-set a RB250GS, RB750/750G back to factory default

Unplug all LAN and power cables

Locate the “Reset” button, it’s at the back right beside the power, use a sharp object, press and hold (make sure you can feel the press down!)

Insert power cable, continue to hold until you see bunch of lights blinking (please be patient on this process, it may take few minutes.

Unplug the power cable, continue to hold at least another 30 seconds before releasing the reset button

Why reset something that works?

Simply restore backup you made before reset.
You have made backup, right?

He stated he has already done that and it doesn't work. A possible error in the reset method.

The user has succesfully reset the router, the problem is the configuration and the crystall ball needed to solve his problem.

Do not work because has RESET the configuration…
and the DEFAULT configuration not work because the device must be configured for his needs.
