Default Route for RB711-2 using AP and WDS SLAVE

Hi All

Ive set up in the lab an RB711-2 running in AP mode. Its connected to the internet via its eth1 port.. IP 192.168.130.2/24

Ive got a 2nd RB711-2 in WDS-SLAVE mode, works fine. I can connect to it, get a dhcp address from the ADSL router ans surf. Can ping the first 711/ IP 192.168.130.3/24

I cannot for the life of me get the wds-slave unit to access the internet to set its clock etc.

Ive added

/IP route add dst-address=0.0.0.0/0 gateway=192.168.130.2

but it just times out when I try to ping something webwise.

Have I just not had enough coffee / sleep or is there a special way to do this?

If I’m not wrong wds-slave only repeat and ampli the signal… So your interface it’s only a repeater…

If you want to get internet address in 2nd rb you have to add one wireless interface.

This is my mind, but probably I’m in a wrong way.
