Design error in LtAP Mini

Hello guys.

I think you have a design problem with the LTAP Mini with LTE kit.

I have perfored the 3 holes in the cap to use external antennas for GPS and LTE and i have discovered that the device does not close with the connectors in place.

I am using your LTe kit with your ACSMAUFL cable, all from Mikrotik.

The connector does not fit because the space is ocupied by the LTE card.

¿do you have another devie like LtAP mini but with more room?

We tried to do the same, and found that you have drilled the hole to one side, so the connector is hitting the card. See attachment that illustrates the problem.
When drilling in the center, the case can be closed with identical connectors in place.

You mean that it is adjusted to 1 millimeter precision?

You know that making one hole perfect is easy but making the hole on 150 devices is more difficult and lots of them will end with the hole moved to one or other side.

In fact, I gave the device to my usual installation company to make the holes.

I think Mikrotik must make the cap a little taller and allow some misalignment.

also fitting the wiring inside is difficult, or maybe you can show us how to do it nicely.

Drilling out of the center and complaining :unamused:

I did drill in the center, and fits perfectly here!

Yes a lot of LoL but how many of this devices you must drill??

I need to drill more than 100 of these and i can not do it by myself, it will be done by other.

I am sure i will have a good qunatity of “ba drilled” devices

And it is very easy to solve:

  1. Device must come with the holes already done. (and having in mind that GPS will not work without external one must be must)
  2. Device must come with a little more space.
  1. hire a professional to do a decent service.
