Detailed Ethernet interface stats in MT

Hi I have a request from a customer.
Have not found this in 2.8.16, not sure about 2.9 beta…

  • can you gather/display stats from the Ethernet adaptor using MT?
    Things like
  • no. of packets with errors
  • total no. of packets (since ‘reset’ of stats)
  • no. of CRC errors

On Windows NT, certain adaptors (Intel) make this visible if you go into ‘properties’. I’ve not seen it on cheaper adaptors or W2K.

If this is possible, or can be included, we have many customers, as well as ourselves internally, who would use this.

That would be really great, not only does it eliminate “problem solving” on real-world networks, but also helps me with customer site-testing some other products which (for reasons I won’t spell here) can put errored packets out in certain conditions.
We can sell that service to our customers with ease.
