Device-Mode Enabled on Majority of Newly Received Routers – Causing Major Deployment Delays

Factory version is 6.49.8.

I do not knw what happen, because factory is 6.49.8 but firmware and software are 7.19.1 ( https: / / c d r . p l / )

They lie on the "factory version"... since become used as the minimum version for packages. Which likely lead to the allowed-versions in device-mode to clean this up, since its more flexible in defining what versions are allowed.

sorry, been too busy to be on here for a bit. We shipped about 1000 routers last month, and just launched a huge feature update to out platform, anyone interested to read about it can go here.

As for the downgrades, Obviously I’m familiar with the minimum version limits, and that’s been one of the main driving factors that has pushed many of the version upgrades we’ve adopted over the years, but for example, some routers we just shipped out actually arrived this week with a minimum version of 7.17. It’s just something we have to manage and deal with, and stay ahead of.

I’ve never ran into a single problem with that, but that’s possibly because 100% of the time after a downgrade I also always perform a reset-configuration. Also my initial configuration process is always started with a reset-configuration. I load the files & configs, perform the reset, it boots up clean and fresh, that process hasn’t ever failed me once.
