It’s not a big problem but it is annoying. I’m using two segments in my network. Segment A and segment B.
Some of the servers has two NIC’s. 1 connected to segment A and 1 to segment B.
In the dude, the same server is shown twice on the map. 1 in segment A and 1 in segment B. But for me it would be nice that it would show up as one server on the map.
I have already tried to put the second NIC in the settings of the device in segment A. But if I disconnect the wire for that second nic it doesn’t warn me that services are down and still keeps showing that the services are up.
Autodiscover is off. But that’s not the problem. When I pull out the networkcable on NIC A. The device gives me a warning that it’s down. But when I do that with NIC B. It still shows that it’s up.
So what I want is on device with two NIC’s and if either of the cables is unplugged it should warn me.
It is reachable through 2 networks because of the two networkcards. The dude server also has two networkcards so it can monitor the two networks. That’s why it shows the same server twice on the networkmap. But what I want is that it shows up once. I can delete one of them but if I disconnect the cable that is connected to the networkcard that I deleted the device shows green and says it’s ok. But that is not true of course because one networkcard is failing in this example.
