We are deploying some equipmnet in the 5.4-5.7ghz band. According to the rules we are to use DFS to avoid interference with weather radar. When I select radar detect in the DFS box on the wireless page I ALWAYS get radar detected showing at the bottom of the page. I have tried frequencies from 5.1 to 5.8ghz with the same results. Radar in our area should only be in the 5.6 to 5.65 range if it is present. There is obviously not radar present in the 5.8 or 5.3ghz band but yet its telling me it is being detected.
Is there an issue with DFS and radar detection or is there something I am missing.
P2P, 12km, 28db dish, RB532 with SR5 cards, AP-WDS and WDS Slave,
what country setting you have and in which country you use that system?
Could you upgrade the RouterOS version to v5.13 and make the support output file right after the wireless card detected the radar signal? Send that file to support@mikrotik.com
I have a the same issue with mikrotik wireless outdoor an DFS on, country germany.
I have removed a Lancom L-54ag against a Omnitik. And it started to find radars about once an hour.
This never happened on the Lancom devices.
Ubiquiti 5 Ghz devices used to find false positive radars until they did some improvements in the firmware.
They say it was a fix for some colocation issues, what sounds reasonable to me.
