DFS

Hi,

seems to me that DFS is not the top issue at MT )
(Not only MT). But I think for reliablitiy reasons it is an issue.

the frequency shown in wireless-table β†’ Interfaces seems to be
the same as configured in Frequency.
But using DFS and a Scan List the used frequency is another
(in most cases). So the information in wireless-table β†’ Interfaces
is wrong.

using a scan list seems to gives always the first usable frequency.
In situations where we have 2 Stations with big distance one
station can not see the used frequencies at the other station’s site.
So some kind of agreement between the 2 stations would help
getting the best usable frequency. What does a free channel at
station 1 help if the same channel is crowded at station 2.

The German regulatory domain gives me mixed frequencies at the
5GHz Band wich are regulated to 20db and 30db. The resulting
tx-power is correct. But why I should want a channel selected
wich gives me only 20db. So I always have to use scan-list to
get a channel which allows 30db.

I would like to combine wds and dfs. So some sort of handshake
(hi children lets go to channel xy, oh no this is worse lets go to
channel zw) would be fine.

Set your none DFS unit to WDS-Slave then it will follow the DFS unit frequency.
