DHCP alert - valid server required if DHCP server on same device?

Hello,

does the DHCP server of RouterOS on the same device have to be specified as a valid server for the DHCP alert (/ip dhcp-server alert valid-server=), or is it automatically treated as a “valid server”?

if you need to find unauthorized dhcp servers, why not
these are unrelated functions

No, it is not required. Just enabling that function will find other DHCP servers but not the one on the local device.
