Dear All,
I am using the mikrotik CCR1036-12G-4S with version 6.41.2 .
The DHCP is working fine with all the devices. Release time is 2 days. And the maximum IP is 50%.
But have a equipment always request a IP and without success. So on the log file every 1 mins it will show the fail of DHCP with that equipment as the picture.
I searched that is the samsung address. but don’t know who is owner and how can i stop ?
Is it problem with the phone/equipment or the DHCP config ?

Thank You!
I don’t know whether your wireless setup uses encryption or not, but definitely the wireless access is working for that device as it could get as far as to send a DHCP Discover. So either it is so far that it cannot properly demodulate the DHCP Offer (which is sent on unicast speed&modulation which is less noise-immune than the multicast (group) speed&modulation used to deliver the DHCP Discover), or there is some issue with that device’s DHCP client or IP configuration. It is theoretically possible that the device has a manually configured IP address but nevertheless it sends a DHCP discover - you would have to sniff the traffic of that MAC address into a file to see what really happens there.
But if no one complains, I would simply use the wireless access list (or CAPsMAN access list, depending on whether you configure the 'Tik’s wireless interface directly or using CAPsMAN) to ban the MAC address. If the device owner then comes and complains, it means that it was working for them before, which would be very suspicious and would deserve further analysis.
Thanks so much Sindy.
Today this device disappear, maybe the User not here or not use Wi-Fi.
Your advice is correct, the problem with the DHCP client.
Thank You!
