I’m using a RB133 with v2.9.46. I have lan set up on ether 1 with a DHCP server on Ether1. I have WAN’s set up on ether3 with DHCP client enabled. The problem is that if ether3 does not get an IP address quick enough from the ISP, it grabs one from ethe DHCP server of ether1. The DHCP server is set for ether1 only. Any suggestions.
Thanks,
Mike
My suggestion would be make sure you do not have a bridge setup between ether1 and ether3.
Also, are you sure the mikrotik DHCP server is the one handing out the IP and not say the DSL modem or cable modem giving out an ip in the same range when it does not get synced in a timely manner. This will happen to me on a Road Runner Cable internet connection.
