DHCP Conflict

I have two routers, each running hotspot and dhcp. Several mikrotik and other linksys wet-11’s are hooked into the hotspot system. They have mangles so they do not need to log in.

I setup my laptop, plug into a wet-11, set the ssid on the wet-11. Reboot the wet-11 and laptop and I get an ip address conflict. It lists the mac address of another item on the hotspot.

It is as if the dhcp server is giving out an ip address that is already assigned. I have tried several wet-11’s so I know it is not a single wet-11 issue it is some type of network issue.

I have tried setting the wet-11 ethernet port with cloning on, or cloning off and i still get ip conflict.

The mirkotik dhcp seems to be setup properly with 100 routable ip’s that it can assign. We have about 10 dhcp addreses in use on each hotspot. and the issue can be replicated on both hotspot units.

Do you have any suggestions on what to try in order to resolve this? I have existing customers waiting for me to finish programing this equipment and I am really stumped/confused as to why this is happening.

Regards

This issue has kind of been resolved. The laptop computer that I was using keeps coming upw tih dhcp conflict ont he network, but when i replaced it with a normal stand alone computer the issue went away.

My guess it he laptop pcmica eithernet adapter has the same mac as something on my network.
