DHCP does not work behind ap + station combination

Hello,

I just configured a little test setup.

I am using a hAP lite and a mAP.

The hAP connects to a wifi as “station”
I tested my home wifi and the company wifi.

The hAP and the mAP are connected via cable.

The mAP is configured as “ap bridge” and distributes a few virtual APs (just for fun).

LAN))))) wireless (((((hAP--------wire-------mAP))))))) wireless ((((client

When I connect to these Virtual APs my clients cannot receive an IP-Adress via DHCP.

I also configured “DHCP Client” on the bridge interfaces of the mikrotik routers.
The hAP does get an ip address.
The mAP does not.
The dhcp server does not receive any DHCPREQUEST from the mAP.

The same setup works if the hAP is connected via wire to the local network.

LAN--------wire-------hAP--------wire-------mAP))))))) wireless ((((client

All clients get ip addresses from the dhcp server.

So it looks like the dhcp requests cannot pass the wireless link between the hAP and my network.
Even though the hAP can get an ip address itself.
