We have found a puzzling problem with the DHCP server in 4.13 router os. If we increase the number of hosts beyond 254 then those over 254 are not updated in our Windows DNS server. For instance if we have a subnet 200.200.6.0/24 DHCP works perfectly. However if we increase the hosts to 200.200.6.0/23 or /22 or more only the first 254 are updated properly in the Windows DNS.
We have tested will a lot of different subnets but as soon as the host go over 254 DNS doesn’t get updated.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Does anyone have any suggestions to fix the problem?
