Not sure if this is the best place to report a bug, but had a certain amount of difficulty in setting up a cAP Lite and mAP 2n board in CAP mode.
Initially, having had problems with the “reset” button method, gave up and set via Winbox. It appears that the DHCP addressing option in “Quick Set” mode creates an incorrect bridge firewall rule, which is the opposite of the selection made:
E.g. when setting “Address Source” to “Ethernet”, it creates a bridge firewall rule to drop DHCP packets FROM the ethernet connection. (Conversely, setting it to “WLAN” caused it to allow DHCP requests from the device TO the ethernet port, and drop packets from the WLAN interface). This is backwards - and was the source of much frustration and confusion (until I used Winbox to connect via MAC address).
I just looked at this settingon a mAP lite I have running in CPE mode, and the options work as expected. (Creating rules based upon whether packets come on the wlan1 interface or not).
From recollection (don’t have the other devices right in front of me), they were creating identical rules - but incorrectly specifying the ether1 interface without changing “polarity” of the test. Perhaps this is a bug specific to Quick Set in CAP mode?
