DHCP Option 51 (Apple, IP address lease time)

“Apple devices didn’t like having short lease times for its DHCP, Apple products will always request for 90 days.”

I just happened across this article trying to address what appear to be DHCP issues on a Mikrotik network with Apple devices. I have had no problems with Mikrotik’s DHCP server and lease times of 30 mins but I am thinking if Windows’ DHCP Server is used 3 days might be better. I am testing this idea this week.
