We successfully receive DHCP Option 82 and this can be seen in the lease list for devices, is it possible or is this a feature request to be able to use this as a pass variable in hotspot..
What I mean is ideally like when I pass $(mac) to our backend portal can i pass $(agent-remote-id)

Im afraid its not possible today. It would be nice if we can use Option 82 parameters as a hotspot authentication without captive portal. In this case we can use DHCP authentication (option 82) to identify customer and Radius accounting like volume usage (byte limited service)
That option still actual. Is it possible to pass Option 82 values to hotspot vars? Or add them to hotspot radius Auth requests? Option mentioned by orgooneo is creating 2 Auth requests to Radius: first for DHCP and second one for HS mac Auth, which is not preferable
