DHCP over two routerboards.

Guys, I am extremely newb at this. I had a local guy, that is quite good at mikrotik systems install a wireless network on one of my clients sites.

But it seems he is not getting the desired result. If you look at the attached image I drew, you’ll understand better what I am asking.

I’m sure that is a simple procedure for you guys.

I have a server on a ethernet network. It also acts as a dhcp server on this network. From there all the stations on the site remote desktop onto the server. I have a single user (there will be more later) on the other end of two wireless links. I want his computer to basically act as if it was on the ethernet network. ie I want it to receive an IP from the server, and have clear communication to the server.

The client has a wireless internet connection, illustrated on the drawing. From the first routerboard there is a lan cable running down into a switch, and from there ultimatelly to the server, providing their internet.

all the links between the wireless connections are registered and set up. I got that far.

What from here? Please guys, I would appreciate some assistance. Please be patient with me. I am very new to mikrotik.

do you have a bridge set up on the rb433 board, with the ports as wlan1 and wlan2

you can have all the RF stuff associated, but if there’s no bridge, then dhcp won’t propagate through the links

Im sorry, could you just be a little more specific? on which routerboard? I have two?

I am quite new, so speak slowly
